China is the single most important and fastest growing marketplace, as well as manufacturing base, for US products. Each year, an average of US$140 Billion worth of merchandise is produced for export by the thousands of factories in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region, including Shenzhen city. Furthermore, Mainland China and Hong Kong imported some US$33 Billion worth of goods and services from the US in 2001.
Learn how US companies have benefited by setting up its Regional Headquarters, logistics hub, and other high-value activities in Hong Kong, while overseeing their manufacturing facilities and sales operations in the PRD. Meanwhile, many Hong Kong-based companies, because of decades of experience in doing business with the Mainland, are ideal partners for overseas companies looking to profit from a Hong Kong/PRD strategy.
